WHO I AM
Hospitality Leadership. Built on Experience.

As a hospitality operations leader with more than 20 years of experience across hotel and cruise operations, I have learned that hospitality is ultimately about people — how we lead them, develop them and create environments where they can perform.

Marko Aleksić
Marko Aleksic is an international hospitality executive and experienced hospitality operations leader whose perspective was built where hospitality matters most: in live operations, diverse teams and environments where every detail carries responsibility. His professional foundation spans hotel and cruise hospitality, with hands-on experience across operations, food and beverage, people leadership and international service culture. Today, he brings that practical understanding into writing, ideas and digital work—sharing clear, useful perspectives shaped by experience rather than theory.

BEYOND THE JOB TITLE
Experience Changes the Way You Work.

SEE THE BIGGER PICTURE
Experience teaches you to look beyond individual tasks and understand how people, standards, decisions and results connect.
LEAD WITH RESPONSIBILITY
Leadership is not simply about giving direction. It is about taking ownership, making decisions and creating the conditions for others to perform.
KEEP MOVING FORWARD
Experience should not become a routine. It should give you the confidence to question, improve and adapt to what comes next.
A PRACTICAL PERSPECTIVE

The Work Teaches You What Theory Cannot

Working across teams, guest expectations, cultures and demanding hospitality environments has taught me that the details are never only details. A delayed response, an unclear handover or a team member who feels unheard can shape the entire experience — for guests and for the people delivering it.
Strong operations depend on standards, but standards only hold when people understand the purpose behind them. The most valuable lessons have come from listening closely, adapting without losing direction and making decisions with both the immediate moment and the wider team in mind.
Working across Japan, the UK, Europe and the United States has also taught me that there is rarely one way to approach hospitality. Every environment has its own rhythm, every culture brings a different perspective and every challenge asks for a practical response.
Experience matters not because it gives you all the answers, but because it helps you ask better questions.
"Practical knowledge earns its value in the work. Lead responsibly, keep learning, and let experience speak without needing to make noise."
